We’re proud to announce we’ve been putting disc brakes on the trail for ten wonderful years. The Hayes disc brakes in this catalogue are descended from a long line of high-performance braking systems that began in 1946. Every set of Hayes disc brakes is born of cycling passion backed by years of Detroit automotive and motorcycle engineering expertise.

In 1972, we began supplying Harley Davidson with motorcycle disc brakes and the first Hayes bicycle disc brake was mounted on a Schwinn Crate. Our first mountain bike disc brakes – the Mag - hit the trail in 1997. In the following ten years, we’ve sold millions of brakesets and the Hayes team has refined our bicycle brake technology, making it lighter, stronger, and easier to use. Customer service, teamwork, and accountability are important values at Hayes Bicycle Group. But the key to Hayes product quality is our love of cycling. In 2005, Hayes Bicycle Group was formed as an independent division of HB Performance Systems. Hayes Bicycle Group is dedicated to making your mountain bike perform better.
